Easily the Marvel Cinematic Universe film with the odds most grossly stacked against it, Ant-Man will no doubt be hoping to follow in the footsteps of this year's Guardians of the Galaxy, by transforming a patently weird premise into box office gold. However, Edgar Wright's sudden departure from the project set off alarm bells for many, all the more so when Peyton Reed (Bring it On, Yes Man) stepped in, a director with no experience in the action genre. Though Wright would almost certainly have crafted a more imaginative product, it's unfair to write Reed off: Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas are playing new and old Ant-Man respectively, while the rest of the cast is filled out by the respectable likes of Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and Judy Greer, while Hayley Atwell and John Slattery will both appear (presumably in flashback form) as Peggy Carter and Howard Stark respectively. If there's any upcoming MCU movie that will mark their first major misstep, this is it, but everyone's hoping not. Release Date: July 17th
