For those unfamiliar, Plastic Man is exactly what youre thinking: a superhero whose unique malleable body chemistry allows him to stretch to great lengths and contort himself into any position imaginable. Despite being a C-list character, Plastic Man was actually pretty close to reaching the big screen thanks to a screenplay by renowned filmmakers the Wachowskis. With a script they originally wrote back in 1995 the siblings were reportedly interested in shooting as recently as 2008; with Keanu Reeves in the lead role (though he seemed to be fairly oblivious to this in interviews). They even announced a December 2009 release date at one point. Though, with the recent flop of their latest film, Jupiter Ascending, it seems unlikely that the directing duo will be at the helm of any big budget superhero films anytime soon.
