50 God-Tier Acting Moments Buried in Bad Movies
24. Kelsey Grammer - X-Men: The Last Stand
Out of the many, many terrific casting choices in the X-Men franchise, none have been as criminally underutilized as Kelsey Grammer as Beast/Hank McCoy. Grammer is so damn great in this part, and he was quite possibly the single greatest element in the otherwise terrible X-Men: The Last Stand.
Despite his limited screen time, Grammer made every second count, nailing the mixture of badass charisma and authoritative intelligence this character needed, and his distinctive voice also suited the character nicely. As previously mentioned, Nicholas Hoult did very well as the younger version of Beast, but even so, Kelsey Grammer is the definitive Beast for most fans. Sadly, aside from his supporting role in The Last Stand and an uncredited cameo in Days of Future Past, Grammer's Beast didn't really get anything to do... until now.
Even though his post-credits cameo in The Marvels was leaked ahead of release, it was so wonderful to see him again, and Grammer's also going to be in Avengers: Doomsday. This return is maybe the most exciting announced casting in the upcoming superhero epic. Hopefully, they'll finally give him the moment in the spotlight he's always deserved.
