50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

19. Tomorrow Never Dies: Motorbike Chase

Tomorrow Never Dies is a very fun movie as things stand, but this particular chase scene is so ridiculously good it undeniably overshadows the rest of the film.

In this scene, Bond and Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) have just escaped from Elliot Carver (Johnathan Pryce) and are fleeing from some henchmen on a motorbike through the streets of Vietnam, which are incredibly crowded and full of obstacles. And they're handcuffed together too.

The result of this strong set-up is a genuinely masterful set-piece. It's fronted by the dynamite double-act of Bond and Wai Lin and throughout the chase, the stakes are constantly being upped and it's also full of brilliantly judged humour.

It's a scene that only gets more and more deliriously entertaining as the peril goes up and up and things get madder and madder - at one point, the motorbike jumps over a pursuing helicopter and lands in the bedroom of a couple getting down to business - and when it does finally conclude, you'll be wishing for more.
