50 Huge Movie Characters That Were Completely Miscast
20. Jeremy Allen White As Kerry Von Erich - The Iron Claw
To say how good the film was, it may feel a little unfair to have The Iron Claw on this list twice, however the casting of Ric Flair was a travesty, and there is no getting around the fact that Jeremy Allen White was wrong for the part of Kerry Von Erich.
In fairness, this isn't quite on the same level of bad as Flair, but is so simple as to be infuriating. White did put in a great performance as the first Von Erich to win the NWA Heavyweight Championship, but he was simply too short for the role. White is 5'7", while Kerry was a towering 6'2".
The actor certainly isn't the only one to have ever been miscast based on being the wrong height, but this felt particularly strange.
White was noticeably smaller than his on-screen siblings, when even the photo of them at the end of the film showed just how big he was in real life and should have been in the film. A minor gripe perhaps, but in a movie like this, audiences will have an expectation of accuracy, even down to the characters' heights.
