50 Huge Movie Characters That Were Completely Miscast

From one actor joining the Wizarding World to one of the finest to ever grace it. Emma Watson played Hermione Granger for eight movies and was one of the best things about them, though her career since has largely taken her away from being in front of the camera.

Easily the biggest role Watson has had since the end of the Harry Potter franchise was in Disney's 2017 remake of Beauty of the Beast. As with most remakes of Disney's animated classics, this underwhelmed greatly, and there weren't too many aspects that shone.

Watson herself as Belle felt a little out of place to say the least. She had the look to portray the popular princess, and in much of the film, she actually played the part well. However, one of the key aspects of a character like this in a movie like this is the singing, which just wasn't where it needed to be.

Some of Belle's songs from Beauty and the Beast are celebrated Disney classics, however alongside the likes of Luke Evans, Josh Gad, and Dan Stevens, all of whom excelled when it came to singing, Watson stuck out like a sore thumb. She unfortunately didn't have the pipes needed for this character, which was something made obvious in the final product, where her voice sounded as though it had been autotuned to within an inch of its life. In a role where singing is so important, this is unforgivable.
