41. Green Room

Given the events of Paris, Broad Green could have been forgiven for quietly shunting Green Room's release to a later slot or going on demand entirely. But thankfully, the tale of a murder at a punk show that leaves the band trapped backstage will hit cinemas in April after impressing on the festival circuit.

The film - a horror rather than an actioner - riffs on the backwoods hillbilly horrors of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with Patrick Stewart as a murderous neo-Nazi leader (a difficult sell, but a rewarding idea) and Anton Yelchin as the band's lead. It's nasty, oddly funny and scary - what more do you want?

Release Date: 1st April 2016
