What with Deadpool, Hail! Caesar, Zoolander 2, Eddie The Eagle and also John Hillcoat's Triple 9 all releasing in February, it might be time to reevaluate the Graveyard label traditionally associated with the second month.

Bolstered by a ridiculously talented ensemble - Casey Affleck, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kate Winslet, Norman Reedus, Aaron Paul among many others - the embarrassingly talented music video director is following up the exceptional Lawless with this twisting tale of police corruption and crime. It sounds like a brilliant mix of heist movie and claustrophobic cop, cat and mouse flick and it has the potential to play out like an explosive fireworks display.

It's another Black List script, and another that's been in production for a long time, but both of those feel like badges of honour rather than issues for concern this year.
