6. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

Regardless of the concerns over double-stuffing that rise with every passing rumour of a new character, Batman V Superman remains a hugely exciting prospect because of what it represents to the DC fandom.

If it comes off and DC can wade out confidently into their plans for an Expanded Universe without a nagging urge to reboot again, comic book fans will get a real choice between the MCU and a new burgeoning DCEU. And that can only be good for business: competition, after all, always drives quality between similarly equipped competitors.

There are questions that need to be answered on the back of a patchy marketing campaign, but the prospect of a new Batman off-shoot directed by Ben Affleck and reason to celebrate Superman again are reason enough to hope it all works. And then of course there's the added bonus of the arrival of Wonder Woman and the cinematic Justice League, which in itself is a massive prospect.
