50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2017 - Ranked

Just when he thought he were out, they pull him back in. After breaking out of retirement to avenge his murdered puppy, erstwhile assassin John Wick will return to his profession again for a sequel to his hugely lucrative, critically lauded first outing. It's going to be bigger, more brutal and more of the same, with new threats, a broader, international story and probably a twist to justify the already optioned third film. Maybe his wife isn't actually as dead as was once suspected?

There's definitely a nagging suspicion that the second John Wick movie could go the way of Taken 2, stripping out what was charming and excellent about the original and beefing it up too much to try and justify the sequel's existence. But hopefully that will fade away when the film lands and we're invited to spend more time with Keanu Reeves' most fascinating character for years.
