So far there have been four screen adaptations of Agatha Christie's most famous novel, including an excellent 2015 Japanese TV version you should really seek out. But none have really been as big as this Kenneth Branagh helmed version set to breathe new life onto the page in November.

Branagh himself plays Hercule Poirot (this is a big deal, because he's a delightful and painfully underused actor), with a massive cast including Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley (among a lot more). That's the kind of ensemble you just don't see outside of Marvel movies these days.

It's about as classic a story as you'll find in literature, with intrigue and wonderful characters, and though a significant number of people will know the ending, seeing how Branagh - who is also a very talented film-maker - tells the story is a great prospect.

Release Date: 22nd November
