50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2017 - Ranked
47. Transformers: The Last Knight
At this point, Michael Bay could basically slap together 2 hours of shoddily edited robo-ballet without any story and wooden human characters and Transformers movie fans would still ensure a billion dollar return at the box office. It's completely baffling, but Bay's vulgar, energetic actioners clearly resonate with a massive slice of the lucrative popcorn audience without ever actually being any good.
Expect more of the same from The Last Knight, which will see Optimus Prime apparently jumping through human history to recover a magical artefact and restore his home planet of Cyber. Which means the iconic robot will literally be meeting King Arthur and Nazis. Why not?
It's not going to be conventionally great by any means, but you sort of know what to expect from Transformers, and this is clearly going to be the most batsh*t entry in the franchise yet. It's also set to kick off an expansion into a shared universe too, with sequels and spin-offs planned, so hopefully it might actually have some story to it.
