It might not be the pure adaptation of Old Man Logan that fans will have wanted (it was impossible and impractical, admit it), but Logan looks like a hell of a sign-off point for Hugh Jackman's take on Wolverine. It sees Logan and Patrick Stewart's Professor X on a deeply personal mission (both of atonement and to save the mutant world it seems) that will 100% end in hearts being ripped out.
Like the movies or not, Jackman's performance as Wolverine has been one of the very best performances in all of comic book movie history, and seeing his final chapter has to go down as one of the biggest draws of the year. Obviously some amount of ignorance to the convoluted X-Men timelines has to be accepted, but that's pretty much par for the course now.
It needs to be better than James Mangold's The Wolverine, but it definitely looks like it has lots of potential.
