50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2017 - Ranked
4. Spider-Man: Homecoming
As if you needed reminding, Marvel have their Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man back. After debuting in Civil War (and almost single-handedly stealing the movie), Tom Holland's Peter Parker will return for his first solo foray into the MCU (well, solo apart from Tony Stark, anyway), and Marvel are going big on him.
Of course they are, though - they've probably paid a lot to licence him partly from Sony, and there's no way this film can be anything other than a massive home run for them. Luckily, production seems to have hit every necessary stroke, adding Michael Keaton as the villain and a huge, excellent supporting cast that will combine to make an amalgamation of comic book movie and John Hughes-like high school flick. That's exactly what Spider-Man should be.
After The Amazing Spider-Man, a return to the c*ck-sure arrogance of Parker and the right focus on his balance between being a kid and a hero is the perfect medicine and HOPEFULLY Marvel won't be dragged into the same situation where past Spider-Man movie makers have gone overboard on villains.
