Some people might be annoyed that there's another Grinch movie coming out after Jim Carrey's beloved live action version did so well to capture the story's magic, but there's no getting around the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch playing the furry green anti-hero.

This is your more traditional family animation (from the team behind Despicable Me, Sing and The Secret Life Of Pets), and while it's been delayed for a year, it should hit the twin demographics well (and will make lots of money). Let's just hope it's different enough to co-exist with Carrey's version.

It's possibly SLIGHTLY early on the release calendar, but it at least means everyone who starts getting festive as soon as Halloween is done has something to look forward to early on.
