It's one of the last films released in 2019, but Greta Gerwig's remake of Little Women is undoubtedly one of the most important films on the entire calendar.

It might be one of the most recognisable stories in cinema - given that it's been adapted SEVEN times before in various forms - but the talent both behind the camera (Gerwig's Ladybird was glorious) and in front of it makes it more than appealing. The director has amassed a cast including Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Dern, Bob Odenkirk, James Norton, Chris Cooper and Meryl Streep.

Imagine ANYTHING with that cast and it's a hot property. Imagine Great Gerwig in charge of it and it's even hotter.
