48. Death On The Nile

Death on the Nile
20th Century Studios

Kenneth Branagh's follow-up to 2017's Murder on the Orient Express seems set to deliver much of the same: an absurdly appealing cast, regal visuals, and a thoroughly hammy Branagh performance as mustachioed detective Hercule Poirot.

With crackerjack source material and an ensemble counting the likes of Armie Hammer, Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Letitia Wright, and Dawn French, this should be a much-needed rebound for Branagh after the failure of last summer's Artemis Fowl.

And assuming it's a success - whatever that means in this new cinematic landscape - Branagh has already talked-up adapting more Agatha Christie novels in the near-future.
