50. Cocaine Bear

If the outrageous trailer is any indication, Elizabeth Banks' new film Cocaine Bear is going to live up to its ridiculous potential as a mile-a-minute black comedy.

Based on a real-life incident in which an American black bear ingested a duffel bag full of cocaine in 1985, the film centers around a group of small town locals and tourists who attempt to survive the coke-huffing bear's rampage.

With a surprisingly decent-looking CGI bear and killer ensemble cast including Keri Russell, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Alden Ehrenreich, Margo Martindale, and Ray Liotta in one of his final roles, there's every chance for this to be one of the year's surprise sleeper hits.

Cocaine Bear releases on February 24.

49. Next Goal Wins

Next Goal Wins Michael Fassbender
Searchlight Pictures

Taika Waititi's upcoming sports comedy Next Goal Wins, based on the 2014 doc of the same name, centers around Dutch-American football coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) and his attempts to salvage the American Samoa national team, widely considered to be one of the worst teams in the world at the time.

Waititi finished shooting this way back in January 2020, yet it has been delayed numerous times due to both the pandemic and the decision to reshoot Armie Hammer's supporting role, subbing in Will Arnett to take his place.

Though it was recently slated to release this coming April, Searchlight ultimately decided to push it back to September, suggesting they might have some confidence in its potential as an awards contender. Fingers crossed.

Next Goal Wins releases on September 22.
