50 Most Exciting Upcoming Comic Book Movies - Ranked

26. Bloodshot (1 & 2)

Status: Both announced Due: 2017Key Players: Excitingly John Wick team David Leitch and Chad Stahelski are set to direct with Matthew Vaughn as executive producer. What€™s It About: Valiant€™s answer to Wolverine, the Nanite infused former soldier will kick off the Valiant universe, seeking out answers to who he once was and get revenge on those who created him. Why We Should Care: The comic is genius, and the story€™s similarities to Wolverine and Bourne will translate perfectly to the big screen. If the plans to tie together with the Harbinger movies comes to full fruition, there€™ll be another shared comic book movie universe to care about.

25. Untitled X-Men Movie

Status: Announced Due: July 13th 2018 (possibly) Key Players: Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg will probably oversee, even if the former doesn€™t direct. In terms of the cast, whoever survives Apocalypse. Presumably not Hugh Jackman, who is destined to hang up his claws well before this comes out. What€™s It About: Not a clue. The aftermath of Apocalypse is the most likely launching point. If Fox are smart, they€™ll do what Marvel can€™t and adapt House Of M. Why We Should Care: Even when it€™s at its worst, the X-Men franchise is still massively entertaining, and as long as Apocalypse doesn€™t absolutely tank, further sequels are more than welcome.
