50 Most Exciting Upcoming Comic Book Movies - Ranked

24. Thor: Ragnarok

Status: Incoming Due:Key Players: Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston return, and marvellously Mark Ruffalo will join them as Hulk. Comedy director Taika Waititi has apparently been brought in to lighten things up a bit. What€™s It About: After the threat of Asgard falling to pieces prophecised in Age Of Ultron, Thor is on a journey to prevent all-out war (presumably after Loki goes too far in his attempt to cement his power), as well as investigating Thanos€™ grabs for the Infinity Stones. Why We Should Care: The second Thor might have been deeply flawed but the addition of Hulk and the return of Loki as the main villain should go some way to washing away that bad taste. It€™s a very key step towards Infinity War as well.

23. X-Force

Status: Announced Due: TBA Key Players: Nobody yet, other than Kick-Ass 2 writer Jeff Wadlow. Given the comics line-up, you€™d expect some presence from Deadpool, who can surely only be played by Ryan Reynolds, and a brand new Wolverine perhaps? There may also be a second appearance by Ben Hardy as Archangel too. What€™s It About: The dark spin-off of the main X-Men group, X-Force sees beloved bad-ass Cable unite with a rag-tag team, including Wolverine, Deadpool, Archangel and Colossus to get sh*t done, somehow. Why We Should Care: Uniting all of the bad-asses under one banner is always a good thing, and any opportunity to tie Deadpool to the main X-Men timeline further should be grabbed with two hands. Hopefully his presence would mean another R-Rating.
