50 Movies Where Evil Won
11. The Wolf Creek Films
Plot: In both films, the sadistic serial killer Mick Taylor (John Jarratt) stalks and murders tourists who are unlucky enough to fall into his clutches.
Say hello to Mick Taylor, one of the most skin-crawlingly vile horror movie villains ever. He's like the Dolores Umbridge of horror killers; he's so sadistic and mocking of his victims that he'll make you seriously angry. And you know what makes it all even worse? He always gets away.
In both of the Wolf Creek films, the psychopathic killer murders most of the characters in horrible ways, while remaining uncaught as he's operating in the vast wilderness of the Australian Outback. In each case, there is a single survivor, but both are left completely broken. In the closing titles of Wolf Creek 2, it's revealed that lone survivor Paul (Ryan Corr) was sectioned in a mental institution after having a breakdown, while the first film's survivor Ben (Nathan Phillips) was also shown to have become a hollow shell of a man when he returned in the movies' surprisingly awesome TV spin-off.
Both pictures end with Taylor walking into the sunset with his gun, free to continue killing God knows how many innocent people, and man, do you hate to see it. Hopefully, the upcoming third Wolf Creek film will finally give the people what they want and kill this evil bastard off for good. Fingers crossed.
