5. Jasper Sitwell's Orders

This deleted scene sees Jasper Sitwell - prior to his unveiling as a member of HYDRA - dishing out some orders to Maria Hill regarding S.H.I.E.L.D.'s labelling of Captain America as a fugitive (HYDRA wanted him for withholding information about Nick Fury's "death") and subsequent pursuit of the on-the-run hero. Having just spent some time organising Fury's funeral (though everyone now knows he wasn't really dead), Sitwell passes on Alexander Pierce's instructions to have Hill removed from the case and sent to New York, due to the fact that her links to Captain America from the events of The Avengers made her - in his eyes at least - a liability. Of course, Hill being Hill, she knew what was really going on and actually knew Fury wasn't really dead, although it does hamper her ability to protect Captain America. When Hill was revealed to be working alongside Fury after everyone else believed he was dead, it was still a surprise to see her doing so, so the removal of this scene didn't lessen that impact at all (and that's likely why it wasn't included). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGap-WsEg_w
