3. Creep (2014)
As a found footage film, you're destined to lower your expectations, thank you Paranormal Activity: The Overdone Ones. However, this short and sweet psychological thriller follows a very strange day for Aaron the freelance cameraman delivering an amazing character study that will leave you questioning those odd people you meet every now and then.
Aaron answers an advertisement from Josef, who wishes to leave a video for his unborn child since he has a large brain tumour. He soon comes to question Josef's intentions and the film only intensifies from then on. Some characters in film just grasp you by the throat and don't let go until their time on screen is up. You will be pleasantly or actually unpleasantly surprised to find Josef is one of those character, but he holds you from the first 10 minutes all the way to the last second.
The director uses both characters perfectly to keep you guessing until the end, if Josef is uniquely innocent or just downright nefarious. If you love being quite literally creeped out, then there is also a follow up which you can check out on Netflix, titled Creep 2.
