6 Creepy Films On Netflix You Haven’t Seen
1. Ravenous (2017)
The hordes of the undead come in many forms, sometimes slow and stupid but often now raging and savage. This tale of survivors in a small village in Quebec takes a unique approach to the living dead, giving us zombies that stand ominously and communicate through bone-chilling screeches. They also stack chairs. It sounds completely ridiculous when you put it like that, but it nonetheless leaves you with a sense of unease, questioning the intelligence and memories of the zombies.
For some, watching films in a foreign language can detract from the story at hand, and with this being a french language film you could find yourself thinking this.
What the film does excellently though, is reveal the outbreak in a fast and fractured way which drops you straight into the aftermath of the outbreak. Not only does this make the film incredibly immersing, it leaves you questioning aspects of the origins and feelings of the survivors.
The eerie atmosphere begins early and does not cease and to put the cherry on top, this film includes a bad ass zombie slashing blood drenching death that goes up there with the best of them.
