One of the 1990's most defining Spider-Man comics, Maximum Carnage sees the murderous, psychotic, symbiote Carnage escape from Ravencroft Asylum and set out on a murderous crime spree with several other villains in tow. It's up to Spider-Man, in an uneasy alliance with Carnage's 'father' Venom, to put a stop to the rampage with heroes such as Captain America becoming involved later on when times get more desperate. Since Spider-Man is only just about to be introduced to the MCU this one might take a while to come to fruition. If Marvel can nail Venom, however, then there's no reason that Carnage's rampage can't become a possibility, especially as it would make our young wall crawler confront the sort of vicious, unpredictable foe that we've never seen him have to deal with before. On top of that, one of Carnage's associates, the villain Shriek, uses her psychic powers to turn the citizens of New York into a bloodthirsty rabble, bringing death and chaos to the streets. There's no way that Tom Holland's young Spider-Man would be able to cope with that, so it would make sense for him to reach out to his new-found super friends to help defend his city. With the action focused on a confused and hurting New York, Maximum Carnage could also provide a perfect platform for the likes of Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Blade to step up into the MCU under Spidey's guidance, keeping the tone dark and not relying on the Avengers for star power.
