2. The Pint - Shaun Of The Dead / Hot Fuzz / The Worlds End
A predominant running feature in Edgar Wright's self-titled Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy is the appearance of Cornetto flavours. Strawberry flavour in Shaun of the Dead to signify the film's bloody and gory elements, blue original in Hot Fuzz to signify the police element and mint choc-chip in The Worlds End as a nod to science-fiction. All three films also feature a pub, or pubs most notably in The World's End. The pint, a common drink of the masses that comes in many forms and caters to every persons individual tastes be that bitter or slightly sweet. Alternatively, In Hot Fuzz Nicholas Angels preference (portrayed by Simon Pegg) is that of a refreshing Cranberry Juice.
Spoilers Below: The appearance of the pint is present throughout the three films which is why it makes the list. In Shaun of the Dead; Shaun, Ed and others reside in The Winchester and consume pint after pint until later they take shelter from the zombie horde, Hot Fuzz is when Nicholas resides with police colleagues at The Swan until succumbing to a few pints.
The Worlds End follows five friends who seek to complete an infamous pub crawl consisting of twelve pubs in their hometown with the ambitious aim to consume sixty pints between them. Despite the impending dangers, these characters find the time to consume a pint or two of their choosing. For those who have had the pleasure of viewing The Worlds End, you will be aware of the hilarious lengths which Simon Pegg goes to reach the twelfth and final pub.
