Following in the wake of seven FX-packed films, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 could have been excused for using CGI to cut a few corners nobody would even notice, but unwavering attention to detail was the name of its game.

During the scene were Harry and his pals break into the wizarding bank Gringotts, those enormous piles of cash and treasure on show aren't the result of CGI sorcery.

The film's creative team crafted more than 200,000 wizard coins for use in this sequence before carefully arranging them around the set. Most of history's most notorious counterfeiters would be proud of that level of productivity.

And if you think that's a lot of money, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 made a whopping $1.342 billion at the box office.
