6 Future Billion Dollar Movies That Were Announced In 2013

3. Jurassic World (2015)

After what felt like an age, Jurassic World - the long-awaited fourth movie in the Jurassic Park franchise - was finally announced this year, and is set to be helmed by Safety Not Guaranteed director Colin Trevorrow, who seems like an odd but still rather appropriate choice. The first Jurassic Park movie was a box office sensation, of course, and has a lifetime gross of over a $1 billion dollars, which nicely sets this sequel up for box office glory. Let's hope that Trevorrow can re-capture the magic of the original flick without stomping all over its gargantuan legacy. The plot for Jurassic World is yet to be announced and remains under wraps, but at least we know it isn't going to be about super-smart raptors wielding guns, which was legitimately a movie we might have gotten if this thing had been made five or six years ago. Casting rumours have centered on Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt (Josh Brolin is no longer attached), which presents movie-goers with an exciting prospect: Gwen Stacy from Spider-Man 3 teaming up with Andy from Parks and Recreation to fight freakin' dinosaurs. What more could we want?
