6 Simple Predictions For Guardians Of The Galaxy

3. Thanos Will Bare A Strong Presence

Ever since the mid-credits scene in the Avengers involving Thanos with his wicked, deathly smile, fans were eager to see the mighty death titan appear in the sequel. Since Ultron has taken the role of the Avenger's next big hurdle to jump in the sequel, Thanos is momentarily taking a back seat while the pieces war with one another. With the Infinity Gauntlet and two of its gems set in stone, and Thanos guaranteed to make an appearance, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is prepping for one huge, epic confrontation between its heroes and the mad titan Thanos. With the Avengers handling their own business both solely and as a team, the Guardians of the Galaxy are looking to collaborate together to take on Ronan the Accuser (who is an admiral for Thanos) and the Collector, who is reputably collecting the Infinity Gems. As all comic book lovers know, Thanos is an esteemed user of the Infinity Gauntlet and its power and influence. All the elements, so far, point to the direction of Thanos eventually gaining ownership over the Gauntlet and unleashing its power on the Cinematic Universe. And with Kevin Fiege, the Marvel Studios president, confirming that Thanos will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy, it's exciting to see how the Guardians will be involved in the struggle of the Gauntlet and its gems. Even so, with Ronan and the Collector set as the primary villains, it leaves little room for Thanos to have a spot all to himself. So the smart idea would be to have him once again spectate the moving pieces, and ultimately make his move in Phase Three. The prediction here is guessing that Thanos will play a large role in the film while also building up his inevitable entrance in the future. His role thus far has been clearly evident, and his influence continues to bleed into the Cinematic Universe with all the small nods and winks.
