5. Harry Osborn
Dane Dehaan is one creepy-looking dude. Anyone's who seen Chronicle, The Place Beyond The Pines or even the new Metallica movie Through The Never knows that he exudes a persona of pure steel, projecting more through one menacing stare than other actors could in a lifetime. Thus he's a pretty perfect cast for Harry Osborn, the allegiance-switching son of Norman Osborn, and a man who must put across the idea that if he's your friend you're glad he's on your side, but should something tick him off, all hell will be breaking loose. As with the inevitable comparisons to the Sam Raimi trilogy, it's great to see them doing something different and casting pretty much the polar opposite to the extremely likeable James Franco. Whilst his performance as the magnetic spoilt billionaire-to-be was a great mirror to Tobey Maguire's inner plight, ultimately there was always much more to be done with his character than essentially become the Green Goblin Mk.2 in Spider-Man 3.
