44. Future War Scenes Look Better In The First Two Movies
What continues to prove staggering to fans of the Terminator series is not only how well the future war scenes in the first two movies have aged, but how much better they look than the equivalent scenes in the later movies. The Terminator may have been produced on a small budget, but those war scenes involving the resistance look superb, and of course, Terminator 2 absolutely turns it up to 11. Terminator 3 only shows off brief resistance fighting, but it's awash in CGI that's already showing its age, and as already mentioned, Terminator Salvation has a rather garish, unappealing aesthetic compared to the rich visuals of the battle scenes in the two originals. How is this possible? It's because practicality will always trump CGI in terms of how effects stand the test of time.
43. Douglas, The Creep - Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Characters don't get a whole lot creepier than Douglas, one of the orderlies at Pescadero State Hospital where Sarah is being held at the start of T2. He's shown beating and abusing her in one instance, and then later on, when he thinks that she's in a drug-induced haze, he licks her cheek for his own sick satisfaction. Of course, Sarah thankfully gets her sweet revenge, breaking out of her cell and beating the snot out of Dougie with a nightstick. Every second this guy shows up on screen though, it's skin-crawling time.
