67 WTF Moments From The Terminator Franchise

22. That Ridiculous Toilet Fight - Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines

One of the best examples of the series' post-T2 CGI excess is the absurd toilet fight between the T-850 and the T-X, which features a ton of clunky visual effects shots, and that's without even considering the fact that these two extremely heavy robots somehow aren't just smashing each other through the floor as they battle. The CGI models of the two machines are annoyingly blurry, and the fight is more goofy and weird than enjoyable. Especially that part where the T-X picks up the T-850 and just starts ramming him through the walls. Is it really going to achieve much other than make a load of mess for some poor custodian to clean up? Well, with the film's ending, probably not...

21. Marcus/Blair Romance - Terminator Salvation

Does a Terminator movie really need arbitrary romance? Well, Salvation had it anyway: Marcus and Blair form an easy bond, snuggling together to conserve body heat, allowing him to escape the resistance stronghold and basically vouching for him every step of the way before his ultimate demise. It's just narrative bloat that nobody really cares about: the series has the acceptable John-Kate romance and that's really enough. The audience already gets that Marcus is a bad guy trying to make amends, and that's enough. This forbidden love shtick was wildly unnecessary.
