5. Batman and Robin (1997)
Who's in it?: Uma Thurman, George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, Michael Gough, Arnold Schwarzenegger (although calling him a 'great' actor is going a bit far), John Glover I think if Batman and Robin has taught us one thing, it's that you don't p*** off a fandom. Because really, they're the ones that decide whether you're movie's gonna flop or not - and Joel, you got floppy. I think Schumacher had this idea that the only way to make a successful Batman movie was to have celebrities playing the villains, one of many unfortunate nods to the Adam West show of the 1960's, but maybe seeing Vincent Price as a villain with an egg-fixation may have gone over his head as evidence that this idea has problems. Sadly, this would explain perfectly why Batman and Robin had pretty much an all-star cast, and while you could argue that these actors' OTT performances were pretty much half the problem with the movie, you have to remember that Joel Schumacher would frequently remind the cast 'This is a comic book movie!' before every single take. But really? "Curses!"? "Curses!" didn't give you even the slightest hint about where this movie was going?
