No, not the Shazaam guy. Captain Marvel is a moniker worn by many Marvel characters. The Captain Marvels traditionally deal with cosmic enenmies. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to travel to the stars, so why not introduce this iconic character? Of all the Captain Marvels to choose from, Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel, would be the best one to bring to the screen. As mentioned before, there are a lack of super heroines in film. Danvers would be a breath of fresh air, and bring something new to the table. While Danvers would be the protagonist, it should be established that shes not the first Captain Marvel. That way, one of the conflicts would be Carol living up to Mar-Vells reputation, and, eventually, transcending it. Plus, if Captain Marvel is brought in, then youd need to introduce the Kree, and that would mean youd need to introduce the Skrulls, which would lead to the Kree-Skrull War... come to think of it, theres a huge chance thisll be made down the line.
