7 Deadly (And Annoying) Sins Commited By Moviegoers

2. Seat Savers

D-BOX Seat savers are another sin of degrees. If you are saving 1-2 seats while your friends have gone to the toilet and will be right back are okay. However, if you are saving 3 or more seats then it is excessive. There are several issues with seat saving on a mass scale, as it stops people from sitting in good seats because a group of people have selfishly saved seats for their horde of friends, leaving you with shittier seats, probably in the corners of the cinema. The second part is that they are likely to be boisterous and noisy, which is how people often are when they are amongst their friends. When you go to the movies, the main point is to watch the movie. However, when a large group of people goes to the movies, the chances of one of those people being a "movie talker" is highly likely. It also raises the possibility for "the hecklers" to appear, trying to impress their friends with their stupid remarks at the screen, and if they get a laugh from their friends it becomes encouragement for them to continue. The seat saver is even worse because they are working together with another sinner, "the latecomer" to make their lateness more excusable. On the opposite side of the spectrum is another annoying person in the cinema, and thats the "Stickler". The Stickler is one who lives by the rule book, especially in the cinemas. The stickler is uncompromising and has no empathy for you in regards to seat numbers. Despite there being a seat free just one further down, the stickler refuses to move even if it means that you and your partner/friend are not able to enjoy the movie together.
