7 Disney Characters Who Probably Died After The Credits Rolled

7. Simba Was Probably Killed By An Alpha Male - The Lion King

The Lion King pretty much tells the story of Shakespeare's Hamlet, but instead of with people, it's with animals, and instead of being set in Denmark, it's set in Africa. After his father is murdered by his evil uncle, Scar, young lion cub Simba leaves his homeland, grows up, re-meets his childhood love, Nala, returns home, defeats Scar (who ends up being eaten by hyenas) and takes his place as the "Lion King" of the title. What the movie doesn't tell you, though, is that male lions rarely make it to adulthood because they're usually killed by other lions. The older a male lion gets, the more chance it has at being horribly killed by a younger, more aggressive lion - one who challenges him to the title of pack leader. So in all likelihood, after the credits rolled, Simba found himself forced into endless confrontations with angry young lions desperate to take over. Maybe he'd have managed to fight off a couple of attempted murder attempts, but soon enough Simba would very likely have found himself defeated by faster, more versatile alpha, who would have proceeded to kill him, eat his children, and then mate with Nala. It's probably a good thing that they left all that out, really. And for anybody who wants to use The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride as reason to disprove this theory, it could have very well happened after the events of that movie, too. Because it's sort of inevitable. Or, you know - perhaps he ended up being killed by a dentist. Hey, it happens.
