1. Yzma - The Emperor's New Groove
The undisputed queen of all things villainous, Yzma might not have the grandeur of Maleficent or the sheer evil of the Evil Queen but she has the kind of ageing glamour and humour that would make her perfect for an alternative kind of heroine. Yzma's so-called negative traits could actually a positive representation of feminist attitudes in 'The Emperor's New Groove', Yzma is infuriated by the ruling Kuzco's terrible attitude and selfishness. Admittedly, she admits that she would use that same power for her own gain, but at least she has the intelligence and the ambition to back it up. Yzma as a character is a brilliant representation of feminism and would have been a fantastic heroine if the film had focused on her rather than Kuzco. A heroine who would have different from the others as she would have been older, would have been more classically and intuitively intelligent and would have been a fantastic leader had she been cast as the heroine, rather than the film's antagonist. Call her whatever you like, Yzma has been a fan favourite for years and her brilliant friendship with servant/henchman/best friend Kronk has been highly praised how awesome would those aspects be from the protagonist's point of view? Yzma would have been an amazing heroine and one that would have really changed up Disney's view of female leads.
