7 Game of Thrones Actors Who Could Defect To Star Wars
2. Julian Glover (Grand Maester Pycelle)
Julian Glover has the distinction of being the sole actor from the original Star Wars trilogy to also appear in Game of Thrones. In addition to playing General Veers in The Empire Strikes Back, Glover has been a regular franchise jumper in his career appearing in the Bond, Indiana Jones and Harry Potter franchises in addition to his Star Wars and GoT work. His performance as Pycelle is one of the most overlooked, the subtleties of his doddering portrayal obscured by some of the more scenery chewing performances the Thrones ensemble is littered with. Who He Could Play: Grand Moff Veers Veers is one of the few Imperial officers that survived the original trilogy but was later killed off in the Expanded Universe. That wont be a barrier should the Lucasfilm powers-that-be decide they want to bring the character back, given the de-canonising of the Expanded Universe several months ago. If Veers was to return he would be a high ranking imperial dignitary now in the twilight of his career. He could find himself in an advisory capacity to whoever is running the Imperial show nowadays or even find himself as a Grand Moff, running a sector of the Galaxy of extreme importance to the sequel trilogy plot line.
As well as the odd article, I apply my "special mind" to scriptwriting for Comics, Films and Games... Oh and I cut down trees, I skip and jump, I like to press wild flow'rs, I put on women's clothing, and hang around in bars.
