2. The Indiana Jones Films
Have you heard about Lucas' other major franchise? You know, the one with the most famous archaeologist ever? The Indiana Jones series contains many references to Star Wars, beginning with Raiders of the Lost Ark. At the start of Raiders, Jock's airplane has the registration number "OB-CPO", which refers to Obi-Wan Kenobi and C-3PO. Later in the film, while Indy and Sallah are removing the Ark of the Covenant, you can see something odd in the hieroglyphs. If you look at the hieroglyph engravings on the post behind Indy, you can see R2-D2 and C-3PO. And it doesn't stop there; the club in which Willie Scott sings in the beginning of Temple of Doom is called "Club Obi-Wan", which was also named after the Jedi Knight, and in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, towards the end of the movie, Indiana remarks, "I have a bad feeling about this..." a classic Star Wars line and a running gag from Lucas' other famous franchise.
