7 Horror Movies Connected By Easter Eggs

2. Every Stephen King Movie

With everything from interdimensional monsters dressed as clowns to murderous, sentient cars - Stephen King has really gone for it when it comes to his whacky library of original ideas. You'd expect his well of ideas to run dry considering he's had a whopping 75 films released or put into production, but the content king keeps on giving, and since they're all born from the same mythos that combines his written work together: his films all link together too.

That might seem like a particularly broad statement, but King's work relies heavily on shared locations and characters, many of which have filtered through into his screen work. Take a look early on in The Mist and David is painting the Gunslinger from The Dark Tower, the dark man of The Stand appears in Children of the Corn, in 2017's It and The Tommyknockers both Becky and Henry are commanded by TV talk show hosts to kill, and practically everyone hails from Derry or Castle Rock, or at the very least a small town in Maine.

They're insufficient links on their own, but it all boils down to the idea of a multiverse, connected by The Dark Tower which joins them all together at the centre of existence itself. By making that movie reality, all others come under the umbrella of the Stephen King shared universe - one that those who haven't read his work might not be aware of.
