7 Incidents That Prove The X-Men Franchise Is Cursed

2. James McAvoy Is Caught In A Freak Buggy Accident - X-Men: First Class

What would a cursed franchise be without a good ol' freak accident? Namely, one that involves James McAvoy - who plays the young Charles Xavier in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class - and a crashed buggy. According to reports from back in 2010, then, the actor was involved in a nasty collision when the buggy that was transporting him from one location to the next ended up colliding with something that it wasn't supposed to. The incident meant that the production on First Class had to be temporarily shut down for an unspecified amount of time, as a shell-shocked McAvoy gathered himself together and remembered he wasn't really Charles Xavier. Thankfully he wasn't injured all that badly, and filming commenced shorty afterwards. Still, this is just another chapter in the "X-Men is not the safest nor the more reliable franchise to work on" book, isn't it? Beware!
