Batman Begins went to great lengths to set up the new Batmobile as a formidable machine that no one would want to be put up against, which only served to make the reveal that Bane had commandeered not one but three tumblers for his liberation of Gotham all the more chilling. Not only was he using Bruce Wayne's own technology against the city, but we immediately felt how powerless the police resistance were.
Batman And Robin may not have had it as perfectly set up, but it too used the concept of a villain using some Wayne Enterprises tech for their own anti-Gotham means. Poison Ivy is a character who feels like she was only added to grab the female demographic (and give Batgirl someone to fight) and in a film as blatant as this thats probably what it was.
Her evil plot involves using Wayne chemicals to turn Gotham into a jungle and although she isn't doing it to spite Bruce (or gets to live out her dream) it's a bizarre similarity.
