7 Incredible Similarities Between The Dark Knight Rises And Batman & Robin

5. Batman Fights Bane On A Catwalk

When Bane was announced to be taking over villain duties fans were joyous. Not only was it a completely unexpected direction for the third film in the trilogy to take, but it gave an opportunity for one of Batman€™s most notorious recent foes to get a faithful look in. And although Tom Hardy€™s take on the character differed in many elements from the comics, it captured the key traits of Bane an awful lot better than the version we got in Batman And Robin.

A muscled henchman driven by venom, Robert Swenson looked like Pulp Fiction€™s gimp on steroids and is a world away from Nolan€™'s. But unbelievably there'€™s an oddly specific link between the two. With such brute force there had to be an epic showdown between the heroes and Bane in both films, but you wouldn't expect them to be in any way similar.

Yet in both films the climactic confrontation occurs on a raised catwalk, withthe hero throw punches at Bane a couple of times before being overpowered and thrown down to a lower level and temporarily incapacitated. It'€™s just so specific it can€™t go by without a mention.
