7 Incredible Similarities Between The Dark Knight Rises And Batman & Robin

3. Bane€™'s Working For A Woman Who Saw His Creation

Poison Ivy Talia Al Ghul

In the comics Bane was driven to hunt down Batman out of a misguided belief he was the source of a dream that had haunted him since childhood. Working as his own master, he used other famous villains to wear down Bruce before sneaking into Wayne Manor and breaking the bat. While elements of him appeared in both film versions, neither could commit to him being a lone ranger. Instead, both have him working for (to a varying degree) a woman with a master plan to obliterate Gotham.

Not just that, both women witnessed the event that turned from normal man into masked hulk. At the time of The Dark Knight Rises release many people were musing where the Bane-Talia power balance lay and while it€™'s certainly close to equality than in Batman And Robin (where Bane will fight for whoever the plot desires), it€™'s amazing such similar constraints were placed on the character.
