6. The Singers Are Talented
In a similar approach to the dancers, the film is filled with talented and experienced stage musical performers.
If you are knowledgeable of musical theatre then you'll recognise some voices in between the pop stars. One example is Zizi Strallen playing the role of Tantomile. Zizi has a wealth of stage experience, even leading the West End production of Mary Poppins as the titular character during the film's release.
Beyond this name, there are plenty of other well known West End performers in the cast. They compliment the larger roles in the show perfectly, making sure that the group scenes feel dynamic.
Additionally to this, even the leading actors who don't have this experience do a good job. Although not in all cases, the majority of the top roles are sung well.
The decision to mix the cast full of professional singers, dancers and A-Listers worked wonders for the film. The casting wasn't entirely perfect, but it's rare to see such good West End and Broadway stars in a large scale film like this.
