3. Blue Beetle's Father

These prequel comics aren't packed full of Easter Eggs, but perhaps the most interesting of those it does include is the nod to Kord Industries. It's been mentioned in viral material for Batman v Superman that Lex Luthor has his sights set on the company, and the villain seems none too pleased that they're planning on expanding into Metropolis. Thomas Kord is the company's founder, and comic book fans will know him as the father of Ted Kord, a character who becomes the superhero Blue Beetle. In the pages of DC Comics event Forever Evil, Lex attempts to bully Thomas into selling him his company, but he later falls to his death after the villain surprisingly attempts to save his business rival. Lex later meets his son and promises that he won't acquire the company, and it's easy to see how all of this could end up factoring into the DC Extended Universe. After all, the latest comic book version of Ted is depicted as a grad student, and the movie could follow that by adding Blue Beetle to the long rumoured Teen Titans movie it's thought Cyborg's solo outing will become. Before I get too ahead of myself with all of that though, it's still pretty cool that more about this family has been revealed, and the door has to now be open to a Blue Beetle appearance somewhere down the line.
