7. It's Set In WWI And The Present Day
There have been rumours for a while now that Wonder Woman's movie will take place in different periods of time, with conflicting reports about when those would be. Some said the plan was for a trilogy of movies, with the first taking place in World War I, the second being set in World War II, and the third returning to the present day, an ambitious approach considering the fact Warner Bros. don't know whether or not Wonder Woman is going to be a hit in 2017. Now though, it sounds like the studio has finally settled on tackling two settings in this one release. Those are going to be WWI and the present day, and while specifics are vague as of right now, it appears as if the former may only be used for a lengthy prologue sequence or sporadic flashbacks. Interestingly, the modern day parts of the movie are also going to be set in the past. Well, sort of. The plan apparently is for Wonder Woman to take place before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, something it has in common with Suicide Squad if reports about that happening between Man of Steel and its follow-up are accurate. Could this be a sign that all of these DC Comics movies are essentially going to be prequels to Batman v Superman and Justice League? That's certainly possible, but in the case of Wonder Woman, exploring her present with a key moment from her past does make a lot of sense.
