6. The Villains

Like pretty much all the DC Comics superheroes who aren't Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman doesn't exactly have an iconic rogues gallery. However, this movie has definitely chosen two of her best with Ares and Circe set to take centre stage. Those two will be teaming up to bring down the Amazonian Warrior, with the former taking on the role of a "puppet master" of sorts, pulling the strings in secret. Much of Wonder Woman is going to borrow from her more mythological adventures too by the sound of it; Circe - who has the ability to turn men into beasts she controls - will transform into a gigantic monster for her final battle with Wonder Woman, while Ares at one points sends an army of demonic monsters to take on the hero when she gets a little too close to interfering with Circe's plans. Both of these villains are expected to look similar to their comic book counterparts, though the movie may also borrow from Ares' various looks in actual Greek mythology. Here's where things get really interesting though. Gal Gadot isn't really a big name star just yet, so Warner Bros. are looking to cast well known actors for the villains. The favourites are said to be Sean Bean as Ares and Eva Green as Circe, two damn good casting choices and a real get for these DC Comics movies if they manage to cast those two before Marvel Studios get their hands on them for Phase 3.
