The Replacement: Ross Marquand

There were rumours that Red Skull would return to the MCU for a good few years after his first appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger, but it always looked unlikely that original actor Hugo Weaving would return.

In the wake of playing the character, Weaving said he didn't want to return even though he was contractually obligated. He subsequently seemed to soften later, but clearly wasn't enthusiastic enough to come back when it came time to bring Red Skull back in Infinity War.

Instead, The Walking Dead actor Ross Marquand took over, using his past experience as an impressionist to do a fairly spot-on take on Weaving. If you weren't paying attention, it was very possible to miss it.
