7 More MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

5. The Avengers Take A Knee (Avengers: Endgame)

The Scene

An extended version of Tony Stark's death scene, this one sees the Avengers take a knee out of respect for their fallen comrade.

Why It Should've Stayed

If you don't like your death scenes to be milked dry for every possible drop of emotion, then this scene won't be for you. On the other hand, if you wanted to keep the tears over Tony's death flowing for an extra minute longer, then this would've been an excellent way to do it.

It's clear that one of the reasons this scene was cut is because it's extremely similar to the now-iconic continuous take in the funeral scene, but out of the two, this one is better. The only thing the funeral scene has over this one is the amount of characters present.

The emotions are fresher and more honest - since the wound of Tony's death is still wide open - and seeing the Avengers physically kneel (as opposed to standing still looking morose) does a better job of highlighting just how important Tony's sacrifice was.

In addition, this scene also confirms that 2014 Gamora survived Tony's snap. Kind of an important detail to leave out, don't you think!?
